LET’S PRAY FOR EACH OTHER!

A prayer partnership is a powerful gift. I have several in my life. These are the people that will always hold the highest for me, no matter what is going on in my life.

You will experience a lot of transformation in this class. Your partner will be your confidant throughout this program. Someone to share the intimate details of your AHA moments and experiences. There are not a lot of people to talk about what we are experiencing in this class.

Don’t be concerned if you feel that you are not well versed in praying, especially out loud. A prayer can be as simple as connecting and visualizing what your partner wants to experience. It can be a silent prayer or it can be a time of speaking the Word together.

This will be up to the two of you. Honor your partner’s process and meet them where they are.

Here are a few samples of how I work with prayer partners:

Beforehand: We set up a time to call weekly or bi-monthly that works for both of us. We’ve decided already how much time we will spend together. Ask your partner for what you need and support them in their schedule and availability. Commit to the time you’ve scheduled and show up on time.

– A. One of us goes first and #1 shares answers to prayer, ahas, and also thoughtfully asks for what the prayer is this week. Then #2 speaks (whatever your process is) a prayer for #1’s request. Then we switch and do the same thing. –

– B. We both share and then both pray one right after the other.

– C. We text or email an emergency request. This can be really a practical tool if you are needing some courage or clarity for a particular situation that you will be doing that day. It’s always nice to text or email back, after the event so your partner can know what a benefit they have been in your life and affairs.

– You can also pray via email, however, I think that there is no substitute in our high tech world for personal connection. Take advantage of this.

I honor your process with this partnership. However, I will never be a go-between for you and your partner. You will work out the details. Pray about it.
